Guided Cycle Routes

Here are just a few suggested routes, but I specialise in personalised tours so if you have a specific request anywhere in Cornwall & Devon please get in touch. All prices are per person. Please note that unfortunately I cannot accomodate children under the age of 14 on my ebike tours. This is the law in the UK. My Ebikes also have a maximum rider weight of 120kg. Guests should be competant and confident riding a bicycle already but do not need prior experience with electric bikes specifically

Morwenstow & Hawker's Hut

8 – 16 miles / medium / 2-3 Hours

My most popular tour! A great introduction to ebikes or perfect if you want a shorter trip. We will cycle out to the stunning cliffs of Morwenstow, including a walk out to Hawker’s Hut – a cabin built into the cliff face in the 1840’s out of shipwreck wood by our famous eccentric vicar. This route is all on quiet lanes. Just two steep hills and the rest is lovely and flat. We can stop at the rectory Tearooms for a Cornish Cream tea or at the 13th Century Bush Inn for a bite or drinks.

Hartland Quay & Welcombe

22 miles / Easy / 4 Hours

An adventure through North Devon’s sleepy country lanes out to the historic village of Clovelly. The car-free village with it’s cobbled streets spills out steeply into the Atlantic. It’s a pleasant cycle out there and the route is entirely on quiet back roads. It’s pretty flat terrain and sheltered by the large hedges which makes for easy cycling. Can be extended to 5-6 if we include Hartland Quay and Welcombe too.

Clovelly & Rural North Devon

20 miles / medium difficulty / 4 hours

A 20 mile loop on the rugged Hartland Peninsula in North Devon. Hartland Quay has a rich and fascinating history with countless tales of shipwrecks and smuggling. If the weather allows we should have stunning views out to Lundy Island and down this spectacular coastline. We can also stop off at beautiful Welcombe Mouth and the Old Smithy Inn for a drink. There is a 0.3 mile stretch on the A39, but the rest of the route is on quiet single track country lanes.

Hartland Peninsula and Clovelly

Medium / 32 miles / 6 hours

This is a combination of the Hartland Quay and Clovelly routes which takes in everthing in one longer six hour+ tour. It's the perfect way to see the highlights of rural North Devon and explore the quiet country lanes of the Hartland Peninsula.

The possibilities are endless, from coastal roads, tranquil country lanes, exploring villages, pubs, cycle routes, off road tracks and moorland paths on Dartmoor, Bodmin moor and Exmoor.

Custom Trip

23 miles / Challenging / 5 hours

A more challenging cycle along the North Cornwall coast from Morwenstow to the seaside town of Bude. We can stop off at a number of great spots along the way, including Hawker’s Hut, Duckpool beach and Stowe Woods. This route has a couple of very steep hills which require a good level of fitness even on the electric bikes, but the views are definitely worth it!

If you want to explore the area for yourself without the guide, then just hire an electric bike and get out exploring! Range is 20-50 miles depending on power setting, terrain and rider weight.

Collection from Morwenstow, North Cornwall but can be delivered to your door, whereever you are staying for a fee.
